Title: Looking for correct address
Post by: tploy on September 20, 2012, 10:01:42 AM
Here's the background:
I've purchased 6 Airsight IP Cameras 3 Indoor 3 outdoor Models. I also have a Syntek STK1160 usb Stereo Vid Interface, and have the Cam Wizard Recording Software which allows me to control the location and sensitivity of my recording options for all video feeds independently. It is supposed to work with both USB and IP Cameras. However, I am unable to Initialize the IP Cameras as it requires a command line login as I have not figured out the specific syntax for Login Can anyone HELP? I've tried the following with no luck spaces excluded :

rstp:// 192. 168. 0. 10: 80/ live/ av0? user=[admin] & passwd=[]
rstp:// 192. 168. 0. 10: 80/ live/ av0? user=admin & passwd=
http:// 192. 168. 0. 11: 80/ cgi-bin/ videostream.cgi? user=admin
http:// 192. 168. 0. 12: 80/ videostream.cgi? user=admin&pwd=admin

If I can figure out how to get the view of at least one device the others will be similar.

I checked out the PDF you referred me to and frankly it's all GEEK to me, What I need is a working example of how the command is written out. as:

videostream.cgi
description Use server push mode to send videostream to Client APP
Permission visitor
Syntax /videostream.cgi[?user=&pwd=]
Parameters user:username
pwd:password
Note support 2 Authentication Metheds: http Basic64 encode and use
username/password in the param directly.

Means nothing to me. It still doesn't explain how to write out the actual command line to get the display working and the software recording actual video images. HELP PLEASE!?!I know that the user="[{('^admin"]})'^ and the password is blank

Have you looked in the X10 Knowledgebase. IP camera section. For the models you have?
http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/IP_Cameras

Have you looked in the Syntek and Cam Wizard Recording Software support forums?
Since both are not X10's and no one else here maybe using what you have.
