Title: Same camera view on multi camera live video
Post by: Maltby on February 04, 2013, 01:14:01 AM
Finally got the outdoor air sights going but when I switch from single camera view to the all camera view the picture in each pane is the same.  I can't figure out why.    Thanks

Do you have more than one camera?
if no... thats why there are no other cameras connected.

If yes... do all your cameras have different port addresses? ie.. http://192.168.x.x:8081 camera 1...http://192.168.x.x:8082 camera 2...
http://192.168.x.x:8083 camera 3... and so on.

The cameras can not use the same 1 port.
From my understanding port 80 is the norm where as if you type a ip number:
http://192.168.x.x is the same as typing http://192.168.x.x:80

I also found out... you have to type the http::// also if you want to view a individual camera remotely
I.E. to view camera 2 http://192.168.x.x:8082 will work............ and typing 192.168.x.x:8082 will not work

Hope i m right...

thanks Richy2, maybe that is the problem. I have two cameras but one of them is using port 80, the other is a different number. Maybe I should assign a higher number to the one on port 80?  This is all new to me so sorry if I am asking dumb questions.

Try using 81 for the second camera

Yep.. if i was me.. i would make the ports 8080 for camera 1 and 8081 for camera 2
