Ok so this is what I am trying to do. I am an avid hunter. My deer lease is about 8 hours away from where I live. I wanted to build a system that would e-mail me pictures of deer/activity at my feeder.
I started by purchasing 2 x10 wireless outdoor cameras. I also purchased a Cradlepoint MBR95 and a Sierra Wireless USB Connect Momentum 4G/LTE modem along with a AT&T 5gb per month plan.
I have all of this up and running. I have the camera setup to send pictures to me via email and upload to my FTP server. All of that works great!
Now my problem………I am having major issues logging into my camera outside of the network. I don’t need to be able to for my “Game Camera” purpose but would like to still be able to make system changes and would like to see live view to make sure everything is working good. I can’t seem to get through either the ATT modem or the cradlepoint modem. I have tried going to my IP address but it’s like it is being blocked. Any help would be awesome! I have worked on this for several hours. The picture uploading and email works like a charm and by itself is exactly what I need. If I could login and stream live video and make system changes it would be even better.

are you including the http:// with the cameraipaddress.com:portnumber?

Yes I did. This was the ip http://166.137.149.87:8001/

Well since it has worked.. i would type into google exactly
How to get my att router/modem to recognize my IP camera
-
No that's my ip and it did not work. It won't let me login to my router or camera

Now im a little confused.
Before you disconnected the wired connection in the camera UI, did you
to log into your router it be 192.168.1.1 ?
Everything below this is how i set up my camera WIRED FIRST
Search tool - i checked the box to obtain IP from DHCP server ( It gave me 192.168.x.x ) < this would be my cameras address
subnet mask was 255.255.255.0
gateway was 192.168.1.1. < this would be my routers address
DNS: 167.206.264.1
PORT 80
do your search tool from the beginnning and note the ip it gives you
try using that ip to log in using IE to view your camera
if you re using more than 1 camera, for the second camera, note that ip also... since i have 1 camera, i will assume the second camera has the same ip address.. just change the port on the second camera to 81, and see if they both work.
NOTE: MAKE SURE IN THE SEARCH TOOL YOU HIGHTLIGHT THE SECOND CAMERA.

First off I can login to both my cameras while inside the network. I have set static Ip's and ports to them. I have also forwarded the Ip's and ports through the cradlepoint cell router. As long as I am inside the network I'm good. I can view the camera and make changes.
The problem is I cannot access the cameras from another computer outside of the network. Something is blocking me from getting in. That's what I need help with.

This is what i found on another forum
an i reprint "
When you try to access your router from outside your LAN on port "YOU_ARE_USING", are you using http or https?
Most routers require you to use https when using remote access.
Are you formatting your URL correctly? For example https://xxx.xx.xxx.x:YOU_ARE_USING - that would be for remote access to your router on port "YOU_ARE_USING" with the x's being your external IP address.
As for the camera, are you certain you are forwarding the correct port to the correct internal IP? For example, the camera might be on port 80 so the correct URL format would simply be http://xxx.xx.xxx.x - if you are using another port for the camera, you need to add it to the end of the URL as http://xxx.xx.xxx.x:5000 assuming a port number 5000
Also, you can't have both the router and the camera on port 8080, the router will probably not respond to a port 8080 request if you do."
hope that helps

I've tried https and http with no luck

Heres another suggestion
add the game camera URL to the trusted site in IE security settings.
and/or check to see that your windows firewall lets it thru also.
I found out with my camera, i could not change the path or record or stop record if it started until i added the url to IE trusted site.
ALSO i haven't seen anything in the forum but i don't know if its the trees branches right outside my house or the cars that drive by but my motion detection is constantly going off and i would get these email notices constantly that i had to leave that feature deactive. I would get like 6 emails per activation/motion notice.
I wondering if a breeze shaking branches on trees will give you false motion emails.
