Title: question marks on module dimming settings on Active Home software
Post by: ltriantos on February 12, 2013, 11:33:48 AM
Hi, I just updated my system from the 11a transceiver to the 15a transceiver and downloaded new Activehome software.  After I added the modules into the software, the spot of the lamp modules where the dimming level is shown changed from "0%" to "?" and will not change back.  The system otherwise seems to be working as it should. Why are the question marks appearing?

The Active Home software for the CM11A. Does not work with the CM15A.
Did you update the software to Active Home Pro for your CM15A?
Active Home pro. Has two module definition tabs for dimmable devices.
Lamps is for the newer Soft Start types. Ramp On and Off over a few seconds.
Old lamp before soft start is for the older ones that do not ramp On and Off over a few seconds.

Yes, I downloaded the new software that came via an email after I purchased the CM15a.

Check your module type old or soft start and then make sure you use the proper type.

I did that already as I initially had some problems withmy older lamp modules>  I changed their settings in the software to the Older Modules setting.  I have this question mark issue with the lamp modules, the XPDi3 inductive dimmer switches I just installed, and with an older wall switch (set to an older module setting).

I will double check all the module settings as you recommended.  Thanks,
