Title: CM15A and CM19A
Post by: leonpc on February 21, 2013, 03:06:51 AM
Based on my question in a previous post ( http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=28044.0 (http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=28044.0) ) I was wondering if there are issues having both a CM15A and a CM19A installed on a single system interacting with AHP?

I suspect that you will see duplicate commands received from RF like 2 "D8 ON" being issued but will it really hurt anything.

TIA

Leon

The later versions of AHP both the CM19A {part of the CM15K kit] and CM15A where supported. Would probably crash as it was not designed to use both the CM19A and CM15A at the sametime.

In my setup I run both of them, but I only use the SDK with ihouse as the software.  I don't however run them on the same PC,  if they are with in range of each other you will see duplicated commands, the only issue that I seen for this is if you have a program that uses VR or TTS (a talking house) because then the Pc will repeat the command twice but other than that it doesn't affect the x10 function.

Thanks for the reply.  I have installed both the CM15A and the CM19A on the same system and so far they seem to be working together.  I have to admit that I am wondering why I would use the CM19A if the CM15A is within 4 feet of it....

The CM19A was one of the modules that was sent to me when I ordered the MyGarage setup.  I am using a transceiver in the garage to pick up the signal and should not need the CM19A.
