I am planning on putting in a new phase coupling for my system and need to know should I go with the XPCP, or the XPCR??? the one I have right now is not working and is from the ACT series of X10 "compatable" devices...

XPCP is a passive coupler.
XPCR is a coupler repeater
Is you ACT a passive type or one of their CR series coupler repeaters?
Most have found the ACT CR series coupler repeaters better than the XPCR or XPCP.
Cadillac of repeater couplers is the JV Engineering XTB-IIR. Blasts over a ten volt signal on the power lines.

I'm not sure if that's exactly what you mean, Brian.
Only very old people have Cadillacs ;)

And only very old people use X10. Even new, young users age rapidly, going gray or bald, from fighting X10 problems. :'
