I am brand new to this forum. I have used X10 in the past, using a CM11a controller. I am trying to convert from this controller to a CM15A controller with Active Home Pro software. I am having plenty of problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First Problem
I am trying to control a motor through a HPFM module which is also known as a XPFM module. This module worked properly with theCM11A, but I cannot get the software to recognize it with the CM15A.
When I go to Edit Module >edit module >type of module (I put appliances) > Module (I put 2 way appliances) because the XPFM pro module is not listed as a choice. It is listed under Pro Modules, at the bottom half of the page, but it is not a choice when selecting Module. Any Suggestions?
I have tried controlling this motor through my computer with the CM15A hooked through the cord to the computer. I still cannot control the motor. I tried controlling it with a (stand- alone) MC10 Mini controller and the motor goes off and on as it should.

In the modules list.
Pro section. As the XPFM is an X10Pro model not an X10 model.
The XPFM is listed in the Pro section.
What version of AHP are you using?

The XPFM is essentially a "wire-in" version of an appliance module. So you could try defining it just as an appliance module.

I am not that great with computers. Where do I go look to see what version of the AHP software I am running?
Thanks

When you start AHP it will be displayed on the startup screen.
If you did not catch it.
Help Tab, About Choice.
The two way X10 Appliance Module used Extended X10 messages the XPFM would not use. That maybe why you choosing it didn't work.

Thanks,
I am using version 3.318
It also says

3.318 is the most up to date version.
You can use AHP Lifejacket to register it and also get some plugins registered as well.
A registered AHP will work better then non registered.
Although AHP has a wizard to use the old cm11 configuration files most found when upgrading using this method it didn't perform well.
