Title: Insteon In-Line-Linc-Dimmer. Taken out by Fire Ants

I saw this over on the Insteon Forums.
Fire ants took out an Insteon module in an exterior lamp post.

That should make it repairable by removing the carbon trace (ant carcasses).  Can the holes in modules be sealed with electrical tape to prevent this or do they need venting for proper triac cooling (etc)?

I don't know how much air flows through the vent holes.
It is sold to be mounted inside an electrical box. So it my have limited air flow even if the vents where open.
