Title: Smartenit Inc probably out of business.
Post by: IPS on March 26, 2025, 04:25:55 PM
Hello everybody.
Yesterday my Smartenit harmony p2 stopped responding to Alexa. I tried everything but I could not log into it. So I decided to start all over. Deleted the app. Downloaded the app. Try to login many time.Always got message to try latter. Tried to setup a new account. Same sort of response.
So decided to contact Smartenit support few times. Always went on answering machine. Then I tried to contact, administration, then sales. Always machine says leave a message will call you as soon possible. Tried talking to operator. No answer.
I am beginning to believe that company is out of man power or out of business. Either way I am stuck with devices the don’t work with Alexa.
Can any one of you help me resolve the issue. Would greatly appreciate your help.
Thanks..

Yes seems like they closed. Last time I was able to use it was this past Sunday night. No warning or anything,  called all their numbers no answer.

See my reply in the other thread about using the Broadlink RM4 Pro as a replacement for the Harmony.

I've been using the Broadlink RM pro  for several years to control x10 via Alexa for several years. Since it is a IR/RF s
transmitter device you need a x10 transceiver like the CM15A.  The Broadlink RM has several apps & skills which have been released over the years.
There are several threads in the forums on using the Broadlink so I'm sure you can do anything x10 with it and a CM15A.

The Rm pro is now up to version 4 available on Amazon I use the original.
Make sure it is not the mini as it only does IR, also if it doesn't specify the RF frequencies it works with ask. This one specifys  the frequencies https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096TXWMPV?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1

You bought the Broadlink RM4C? You need the Broadlink RM4PRO
I think the C is only IR and does not support RF.

As mentioned above, this is what you need:

Brobin I just opened the site you sent and it says out of stock and don’t know when it will be available.
There are many other with the same name. Could you please check if others are the same. Thank you.

You have to return the RM4C Pro - it doesn't say it does 315MHz - only 433 MHz RF.  The one that's out of stock specifies that it does the 315MHz RF while the other listings say 433MHz only.  That may or may not be accurate.  However, since you have it, try learning the X10 codes and see if it works, it may do 315MHz and not say so.

In the app, press the + in the upper right hand corner then Add Device and follow the prompts.  Use a PalmPad to send the commands. If it learns the command, save it and test to see if the 315MHz band works.

Since the Smartenit is up and running now you can either wait for the one mentioned to be restocked or try this unit instead:

The manual specs for the Brodlink RM4 C  states it works with RF 315 mhz so it should work.it is far different looking then the RM4 pro

If yours does 315MHz, open the app and press the + in the upper right hand corner and follow the prompts.  There's a video here:
