Title: PalmPad activates PC but not Lamp
Post by: ray on August 31, 2005, 10:30:26 PM
I am trying to you a PalmPad to control
units. The buttons activate the PC software
on/off but the lanp does not turn off or
on. Even tho it is showing off the dimmer
is still 100%.  Operating the PC switch
will turn  the land on & off.

What is the solution?

Do you have the house code you are using
selected to be transceived?

I am running into the same problem.  PC
operates the light module correctly.
Remote is recognized, and shows in the
activity logs.  Visually, I can see the
switch move on the PC, but there is no
change to the light.

As Roger H said. Go into the Tools Tab.
Hardware Configuration. Tranceived House
Codes. Make sure that the House Code the
palmpad is using is set to be tranceived.
The software seem to like to default to none.

Yes-transciever code is set.  I am trying a
phase coupler to make sure that is not the
problem.

Jeff:  I am a great fan of phase couplers and
certainly recommend that you get one for
reliable operation.  However, if the light
will turn on and off when controlled from the
PC, I don’t think a phase coupler will help
you with this problem (unless it is just a
co-incidence that it has worked from the PC
and not the remote).  If the house code is
set to be transceived, then I am not sure
what the problem could be.
