Hi all!
Is anyone using one of the X10 security
systems?
If so are you using it in a house or
apartment and are you happy with the system?
I'm looking for low cost, easy to install
system.. but it must be reliable.
Thanks!

Hi Show,
I am using the DS7000 (listed on back of the
unit as PS561) and I am totally happy with
the unit. I have Four zones defined in my
home and have had it operational since Dec04.
I have never had one seconds trouble with
the unit. Easy to install, totally reliable,
easy to program and has extras. I am very
happy with that unit. Wish I could say the
same about my CM15A. smile

This stuff sucks.

rg ? You said "This stuff sucks."
Are you talking about the X10 CM15A or the
DS7000 security system ? My DS7000 works
great... now the CM15A stuff has other issues
(for sure!).

Mine works very well (old Radio Shack model
same as X10 Protector Plus but white) since
years. I have 6 zones monitorized. You can
program it to call up to 4 telephone
numbers in cascade (cellular, pager, etc.)
But if your're talking about cm15A and ahp,
it's an other story ....

SteveRF - I thought you were one of those
completely satisfied with the CM15A?

Arf,
My CM15A experience is ,"for the most part"
satisfactory. Even better now since I
lengthened the antenna. The only real
complaint I have always vocalized is the
CM15's lack of ability to receive multiple
PLC's or RF commands within a few seconds of
each other and be able to react to them.
Seems if it receives 2 motion det signals
seconds apart, only one gets processed and
the other ignored. The CM15A's store and
forward abilty is pretty bad.
X10's DS7000 security system is another
story... I am very happy and completely
satisfied with that one ! 100% uptime at my
home.
