Title: Tv Card Crashes AHP
Post by: david on February 12, 2005, 09:44:31 AM
I have a USB 2 ATI TV Module for my PC. The
computer is plenty powerful enough to multi
task, etc. However, everytime I launch the
TV while AHP is running, AHP closes and
will not relaunch, even after restarting
the computer and keeping the TV off. This
forces me to have to reinstall AHP. Any
Ideas on why these can't be run at the same
time without a fatal error? I would like to
keep AHP minimized at all times since the
smart macros seem to run smoother when they
run from my computer.
thanks...

How many usb ports do you have? Are you
using an external usb hub? I'm tinking the
problem is the way your OS is handling the
USB ports. I've heard of isues with external
hubs if your using one of these (don't
remember brand) and both are pluged into it,
move the Cm15a off it.

I have  2 frontloaded USB ports, and 4 in
the back. I'm using the TV card, and the
CM15a in the front 2 ports. Thanks for your
help. I will move them and see if that
helps.

David: Are you using the ATI TV Wonder USB
2.0? Do you have the optional Remote Wonder
remote control? I'll see if we can reproduce
this problem here and figure out what's
causing the conflict.
