When I start AHPro it tells me that there is
an update available (I have 3.187). When I
try to start the update the program does one
of three things: A. nothing, B.tells me that
3.187 is the latest, C.AHPro crashes and
windows shuts it down.

I have a similar problem.However,I am
always able to run the update. When AHP
restarts after the update, it shows the
new "Updated" version number -Ver 3.199,
but when I close AHP and restart it, it
then reverts to the original Version
Number - 3.187.
I have run an update file ex X10 Support
with the same result. I wanted to try
uninstalling, then, re-installing followed
by updating, but I do not see an uninstall
option anywhere, and AHP is not listed
Under Windows XP Home "Add or Remove
Programs".

You have a serious problem with the O/S itself.
Active Home Pro appears in my Add/Remove
programs (I'm running XP Home).
It almost sounds like it's time for the
Atomic Bomb of PC's: Reformat and reload
EVERYTHING.

It seems to update. AHP closes, and when it
reopens it is still 3.187. Also, When I try
the undate menu item in help, it comes back
and tells me that 3.187 is the latest version.
I think that the reformat step I may take is
to remove AHP from the computer, and throw
the controller in the garbage, followed by
ordering a unit from SmartHome. AHP has been
a problem from day one.

same problem here with 3 different systems.
when clicking the update button, activehome
pro vanishes and not seen again till
reboot. worked before last update

Same problem, and in addition I can't load
smart macros, iwitness and myhouse

i finally got it to update with no help
from x10 what i did is lower screen
resolution to 640x480 and now i can see the
update take place and the update completes
ok but of course the ahp still has many
problems and may not work for you as mine
does not.hope this helps
