G'day , I have a private Cricket Field (think
big baseball field) and would like to set up
cameras around the field boundary to catch
the action. What i dont know is if x10 has
the product for the job. SPECS , the field is
450 x 450 ft circular in shape, i would need
to place 2 cameras about 300 ft from central
control (the cricket pavillion) where i would
need to control the tilt zoom, and pan
aspects. i have the ability to trench around
the outside of the field and lay wires (power
, video, audio and also put the cameras in
outdoor housings as i beleive they are only
indoor cameras. But i am unsure as to wether
it would all work and am talking about a
$2000 investment. But it would be worth it
to be able to digitally record the action and
burn DVD's for the teams after teh games. Any
suggestions or ideas?.
Thanks
Edward.
BTW you can check out photos of the field at

Aussiefox,
I wouldnt recommend this system for your
application. The cameras/systems are much
more for the amatuer experimenter than the
intermediate enthusiast. You would be
spending too much on a product that is not
spec'd for your application, the size of
your project is too large for control of
the cameras/equipment and I could go on and
on...try another perveyor such as lorex and
research from there.
