Title: Listening in during screaming sirens
Post by: matt on December 31, 2004, 02:01:13 PM
With the DS7000.... if I press 0 to listen
in.. will it stop the power horn?  If not..
wow that's going to be hard to listen in and
figure out what's going on.

Pressing 0 on the phone that your DS7000
calls when alarm is activated will stop the
alarm so that you can listen in. Sometimes I
do have to press 0 more then once. If the
DS7000 is calling your cell phone, make sure
that your cell phone buttions are set to
Tone when pressed or it won't stop the
alarm. James

No it doesn't stop the powerhorn because it
keeps the lights flashing, which triggers the
powerhorn. The DS7000's internal alarm stops
but powerhorns don't..I also don't know how
to listen in like that.

It might be wise to add "Press 'O" twice and
listen in" to the alert message.  What do
you think - by passes the need for training
everyone or remembering it yourself.

I put my powerhorn in the attic where it can
still be heard inside & outside. This way
it's not to loud inside & I can still listen
in on my cell phone to sounds inside when
alarm is activated.
