I set up a few sensors and alert modules on
my DS7000 and everything was looking fine.
Then I tried to follow the directions for
programming phone #s and setting the message.
When I tried to record the message, nothing
happened. The RECORD light didn't light up
(and yes I was in install mode). Then when I
flipped to a run mode to see if anything
happened, I get for tones which repeat twice
in the earpiece. Switching back to install I
hear them again. I fidled and fidled but
cannot get it to record. I think tried
simply tripping the alarm to see if it would
at least call - it didn't even pick up the
phone. I'm thinking its busted, anyone else
have thoughts?
I've already left customer support a
voicemail (yesterday morning) and an email to
no avail. I've tried calling 3 times, always
was on hold 10+ mins before hanging up or
leaving a message. I'm getting ready to take
take this thing up with my CC company...I
spent a good deal on all this.
Anyone have thoughts?

Did you try a live chat? They have to answer
you then. I don't have any ideas exccept to
contact them and exchange it, which I know
you are already trying to do. I've contacted
x10 on matters before and they've always
answered promptly, I don't know what's going
on this time.

hold the line a little longer than 10 mins
they will answer you believe me. if they
can't help you over the phone than chances
are it may be a faulty unit, and if so they
will issue an rma and you can then print the
rma off from your email . and fill it out
and send it back to them for exchange.
