I'm trying to find out the rael working
range the MS16A can send its RF signal to a
transceiver. X10 say 100 feet. Who has one
in use that can confirm that.
TIA,
Ellen

About 1 year ago I read on the X-10 site
that the range was 20 feet. I also saw a
diagram of what I would call "the field of
vision for the motion sensor". However, I
think they removed what I saw, because I
have tried to find it but could not. I
believe the 100 feet that they talk about is
how far it will see (pick up motion). I have
6 of the Eagle Eyes in the yard and it has
been my experience the RF signal will go 15
to 20 feet depending on the obsticles
between it and the Transciever (walls, etc.).
Hope this helped. Dennis

As Dennis said. Distance is hard to say as
things like walls and other obstructions
between the sensor and the rranceiver can
effect the RF range.

Mounting a sensor directly on a metal
surface can make it not work at all. Unless
spaced out on a board, I forgot the space
needed.

Thanks Dennis & Brian. I'm mounting it on my
wooden deck. It will be attached to the side
of the steps so when someone is walking up
or down their moivement will trigger it. The
sensor will be in the open and the RF signal
will only have to go through 1 window.
