Hi folks. I just purchase a bunch of MS16a
(motion detector) and a bit puzzle on how it
works. I put the MS16a in the room and
program it to turn on the light for 10
minutes. It will come on and turn off in 10
minutes. I thought it will go beyond the 10
minute mark if motion is still detected in
the room? I test it by putting my hand over
it at 8 and 9 minute mark but it will still
turn off in 10 minutes but once it turn off,
it will turn back on again for another 10
minutes. Is there anyway to go beyond the
program time? I know I can program it
longer and turn off the light manually but
that kind of defeat the purpose. Please
help.
Thanks.
The Active Eye should keep the lights on as
long as motion is detected. You will see
the little red LED on top flash. Is the
Transceiver in the same room or far away?
Thanks for the reply. I have the CDMA11 and
it is in the same room of the MS16A. I am
just puzzle about the time the light will
remain on. Is it true that the light will
only remain on up to the programming time
even motion is detected? In other word, if
I set it for 8 minutes, even motion is being
detected, the off signal will still be sent
in the 8 minutes mark? Is there any way to
extend it without programming the MS16a to a
longer off time? Thanks.
Tim The MS16 instructions say the OFF signal
will be sent after the time period IF THERE
IS NO MOVEMENT.
Must be something wrong with your MS16.
