Title: Sending an email if a module is switched on/off
Post by: brann jeter on March 16, 2005, 07:09:36 AM
One nice feature to have would be the
ability for AHP to send an email when an
event occurs.  Might be fairly easy to do,
and it would be nice to know if, say, your
garage doors opens during the day, or motion
sensor X is triggered while your away.

I'd even pay a few bucks for this as an "add
on."

Please consider.

Thanks!!

That is a good idea.  I would also like it
if you could trigger a macro by sending an
email to AHPro.

This would be even better if the CM15a
could connect to your LAN without having to
connect it to your computer.  This would
require some type of smart USB peripheral
to Ethernet Bridge though (or an Ethernet
version of the CM15a).

There is supposed to be an AHP plug-in
coming to allow an internet connection.
Just what the capabilities are isn't known
yet.

Noam is correct, X10dispatch is excellent
and can be programmed to send alerts of X-10
actions.
Also, allows you to send commands and
receive status via MS Messenger.

Excellent program
