Title: Plug-In to Interact AHP with DS7000
Post by: DWD on June 19, 2005, 09:33:44 PM
What I would like to see is a Plug-In to
Interact AHP with the DS7000 wireless
modules so that opening a door, etc could
turn on a light or execute a macro.

The CM15A would have to be re-designed to
allow for the reception of the signals from
the security modules. The interface WILL
NOT SEE the RF signals. The only signal it
can receive is for the ALL LIGHTS ON/OFF
during an alarm condition. All security
sensors are ignored - the xmit frequency
might be different from the 310Mhz used by
the X10 equipment. As such there won't be a
plug-in for this.

No, wireless X10 alarm components use the
same frequency as X10 wireless automation
products.  If you looked at the screen shots
of the original AHP software, there was even
an intriguing button for security sensors.

YES; I am in process control & would like to
add installation of X10s to the things I do.
But & And one could not say you were
installing a almost complete securty system
without the doors or windows monitor?
DWD  that is my ini also.

Would like to see a way for the DS7000 to
start a macro to tell the cm15a to turn on
my vcr commander to record who is breaking
in. This seems like it should be a given.
duh

You can do that now. AHP will see the alarm
flash the lights, on your lamp module. Put
in your macro to turn on the VCR Commander,
and you are good to go.

I am a bit confused and a new iWitness user.
My DS7000 is set to House Code A1.  If I want
to capture stills and video during a alarm
condition, how do I set a cam "preset" to
force my Ninja cam (H1) to position P4.  I
set up a macro to trigger on A1 ON but cannot
see any "presets" other than the default 1.
I hope this is clear but what I want to do is
command cam H1 to turn ON and go to preset
position P4 and capture a snapshot and tehn
video for 1 minute.  I see the commands but
cannot seem to determine how to set up a
preset (position ?) of P4.  Any tips would
really be appreciated !
