Why is it that when I try to go to the
www.x10.com/activehomepro/videos/video
_kit.html page I get redirected to the X10
home page

try this:
http://www.x10.com/activehomepro/videos/video
_kit.html

An exact url (http://) prevents your browser
from looking for the x10 home page or being
intercepted by any redirects.
