My company works on some automated test suite that should test parameters of external device (let’s name it as Unit).
As part of our test we need to have some device that is controllable from PC and capable to connect and disconnect Unit from the electricity power.
We already purchased AM14A from X10.com site but it seems that some other hardware/software is needed.
The questions are as follows:
1. will CK11A device (http://www.x10.com/automation/x10_ck11a.htm#20d99.5c6) be enough to provide (in conjunction with AM14A) the functionality that is required for us? If not – then what other device can you recommend?
2. Will it be possible to use AM14A and/or CK11A in Russia electricity network(220V/50Hz or at least 110V/50Hz)?

depending on how complicated you want to get A Firecracker kit (http://www.x10.com/automation/automation_software.html#firecracker_kit) maybe all you need. If you want to send and recieve signals(which the cm14a will do) and do some timed events you'll need something like you posted but it isn't supported any more so ActiveHomePro(at the same link) would be a better choice ! ;)All you would need is the basic kit since you already have the cm14a! :) ;)

Where are you located?
The CK11A kit includes the USA model CM11A controller which works on 120V, 60Hz. For operaton at 230V, 50Hz you should get the European version CM11 with whatever plug style is necessary for the Russian AC receptacles. The same for the appliance module. See http://www.marmitek.com
As far as I've been able to determine, there is no version of the CM17A Firecracker which operates at the RF frequency used for European model transceivers.
The ActiveHome Pro CM15A controller has not yet been released in a 230V, 50Hz version.
