Sorry maybe should have been more specific below is the prod description. Basically what I understan is that it can control any Infra Red controlled device by assigning a x10 code to remote command ie
a1=turn on tv
a2= volume up
a3= channel 320

IR Device Controller

Is it supposed to receive X10 powerline commands (e.g., from a MiniController)  or X10 RF commands (e..g. from a PalmPad).

plugs directly to a wall outlet and place near unit(s) to be controlled, create macros on AH and when you get home the tv is on and on the channel you want the a/c is running at the temp and fan speed you want.

So it converts PCL X10 commands from wiring into IR commands

Maybe Smarthome has a few of these left, whist we wait for X10 to convert this to 120V(?).

Interesting gadget!  I wouldn't mind having one.

Apparent the VCR Commander UX21A or UX23A has somewhat more capability than just turning a VCR On and Off.  It's input is X10 RF which one would think the CM15A ought to be able to send.  Take a look at this thread:  http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=7856.0

I had no success in running the software said to be required to set it up though, probably because I had other X10 software installed on my old Win 98 system.

Here's a site which lists it for sale: http://www.sosnet.com//detail.asp?ItemID=1000639238

Who knows if they really have them in stock though.
