Hi guys do you have to leave your computer on to use flags after reading the instructions in the help section it seems like this might be the case but I'm not sure. Thanks!

No, the computer does not need to be on for flags to work in macros.

Hi Jim thanks for your help! say here's a quote from the help section, what do they mean by this, I'm still a little confussed here.
Quote from help section on macro's:
"Only macros that run in the ActiveHome hardware can set flags"

Tom, I am at work now so I don't have access to that help file. I would think that "Active Home Hardware" would be the CM15A.
FWIW... I have several macros that run from the CM15a that both set and clear flags as well as react to flag conditions. They all work fine. In response to your question yesterday I unplugged the USB cable from my CM15A just to verify that they would work not connected to the computer and, as I suspected, they worked fine. All of the macros I currently have that use flags run from the interface. I don't have any that I run from the PC.

This means you can only set or clear flags via a macro that runs from the interface(CM15A)! ;) :D

What they mean is that the macro cannot be one that has to run from the PC.
This makes using flags with Video commands more complicated since the Video commands have to run from the PC and the flags set from a macro NOT running on the PC.

Not to throw wrenches into the works, BUT, using AHP 3.206, with a CM15, I just tested flag operations.
Flags set from the PC ARE seen by the CM15 in a condition clause.
Flags set from the CM15 ARE seen by AHP.
I realise this is contray to the manual you quoted, but a test showed that they do work fine.
Please Note: I must mention the Required Macro execution delay in front of all macros. (At least for me.) If there is no delay at the start of a macro, I cannot guarantee they will run so when I test I ALWAYS put one in.
If you need better response than a delay would give, TEST it before relying on correct operation.
I'm Learning to not include all the test data, just the results, but if you really need to see how I tested this.......
I've learned that what works and what is SUPPOSED to work are two very seperate things......
(Some work better, some work worse and some just work differently. Seems all I do is test.)

i'm using v3.204 and they say that is the latest. Where did you get V3.206??

Version 3.206 came with the software addon for OnAlert and I think it is included with new purchases of the addon MyHouse.
