Title: Battery power for video sender
Post by: lhkeller on January 02, 2007, 09:41:54 AM
I would like to use the video sender on a video camera without using power adaptor in wall plug. How can I set up with a battery. ???

lhkeller: What camera are you using (model number)?

I do believe X10 has a battery pack that can be used on some of their cameras. Other than that, the wall adapter should have the Output DC volts & current rating; you can use this to determine what you need for battery power.

I am using a Sony vx2000 ... not one from x10.  I will check adaptor for specifics. :-\

X10 makes a battery pack and I believe it is 12 volts. Uses 4 penlite batteries and has a small DC to DC converter in it.
No X10 signal controles to turn it on and off. Just a manual switch and the batteries have a 4 hour run time.
