Title: "New" Video Sender Documentation (VK80A)
Post by: kctm on January 18, 2007, 03:15:03 PM
I've searched the X10 web site and forums looking for the VK80A installation and description documentation to no avail.  I have the old video sender.  Does anyone have both the old and the "new"?  If so, would you please critique the differences based on your experiences?  Also I would really appreciate a link to the X10 documentation on the VK80A.

Thanks to anyone who can help... :)

Looked myself and and didn't find any documentation.

But:

1. It's small.
2. Has a place to plug in an IR emitter in the "sending" unit. Not sure if that emitter is required - seems likely.
3. Has coax out on the "receiving" unit. (many don't).
4. Is stereo via RCA inputs.
5. Has IR receiver on receiving unit (so MAYBE a blaster on the sending unit?)
6. I would take "improved quality and range" with a BIG grain of salt. (See "low" light cameras.)
7. Price is quite good.
