Title: Video Sender, point for clarification
Post by: IsleofMine on February 19, 2007, 12:42:26 PM
If the video sender is connected to cable, ie no cable box,  will the cable signal work the same as if connected directly to the TV.   If true, then changing the channels in this hook up would be done at the TV side.

Thanks,

No.

The Video sender has NO cable input, and no tuner. The "sender" unit has audio and video inputs ONLY. You will need a tuner of some sort (a VCR should do) to turn the cable signal into the required (RCA plug type) signal.

The Video "receiver" unit has a cable type ("F") connector that you can connect to most TV's. The receiver unit modulates the Audio and video signal into channel 3 or 4.

Thanks for the info,  I guess this product won't work for my needs.  I was hoping to avoid the requirement of a "tuner" at the cable source.
