Title: Is This Possible with A CM19A...
Post by: k22 on July 01, 2007, 03:02:47 AM
Is it possible to use the SDK to send and receive commands from an attached CM19A using VB 2005 under Windows XP?  If so, can somebody please post a code example?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT:  Now that I think about it, I'm not sure how to setup the CM19A.  I only intend to use it with my VB program.  What software/drivers do I need to download?

Well, while I don't own a CM19A, I have been told here in the past that the SDK does work with the CM19A.   8)

I have been writing for the CM15A (using X10's SDK) in VB Express.  (see: Topic: BVC (Bill's Voice Commander) (Visual BASIC version)  (Read 930 times) (http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=12834.0))

I may be able to help you with some of the basic issues in talking to the SDK with VB.

As far as drivers, I don't know about the CM19A, but it is possible that the SDK is all you will need.  Never hurts to try!  ;)

Also the SDK includes sample code to help you get the hang of things.

Hope that helps somewhat at least!

I program in Vb6, c++, and JAVA and I can't get the CM19A to work using the SDK.

CM15A works fine.

Bummer!   :-\

Not having one, I just had to go with what I had been told.  :(

hkactive:  there are posts in the SDK section which suggest the CM19A works with the SDK perhaps if you post to one of them or PM the user which states there device works they can help you! Many users only watch there own post or read ones with titles that reflect something their interested in!
I too don't own a CM19A but have been led to believe it will work!
