What is X10.gate.com?   It's not a site or a server.  It will not respond to a "ping" request.

It is a website - http://gate.x10.com/ - that seems intended to handle feeds from cameras on line.

X10.gate.com uses vbscrpt and ActiveX pluggins.  Neither are supported by Mozilla based browsers.
There is an 'ActiveX' pluggin for Mozilla based browsers - but it is not officially supported and I've never tested it.
You can find it here....  http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/plugin.htm

Has anyone figured out how to get this to work on Safari/Mac?  It would be great as the iPhone uses Safari.  Imagine being able to control your Home X10 based lighting and alarm system via your iPhone and the MyHouse Online system..  That would be the ultimate.

Unfortunately it will not work either on my HP iPaq pocked PC nor iPhone.

Will X10 develop a fix/plug-in for this?

You could also check this out for your iPhone or iPod Touch for X10...

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=ie&cat=all (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=ie&cat=all)
Go there and get IE View or the IE Tab plugin these will work to see the Vanguard online
The IE View Plugin actually opens IE, the IE Tab opens an IE tab in your Firefox. Unfortunately I believe these are for windows only.
The link for Active-x in FF is for older versions. The link i provided will work with latest versions of FF.
Hope this helps.
