Title: Icon Remote (-) button
Post by: jeholla on December 23, 2007, 06:18:07 PM
I just recieved my new icon remote. I am trying to program my favorites to the local channesl on my dish v-622 reciever. My local channels are listed as "009-01", which is the CBS HD digital channel. I have tried several combinations of programing this on a soft key, but when it sees the "-" it goes back to 1 and always goes to the lowest channel on the list. When I program ESPN (channel 140) it does go to the hd espn channel. Any suggestions on how to put a "-" in the channel programming?

Have you tried channel 00901? Many devices don't require you add a "-" and auto add it if required!

Thanks that did work, like a charm.

What is the purpose of the (-) button?

Does anyone have any experience with linking the ir543 command center to the icon remote. I tried the device code setup they described in the icon remote manual (0401) but cant get the ir543 to respond.

What is the purpose of the (-) button?

It separates channel numbers from their sub-channel numbers.  "009-01" is channel 9, subchannel 1.  This is pretty much the new standard with digital stations.
