i have cheaper entertainment equipment but it works. i bought the remote because sales said it would work with my tv and it dont, so i have been searching codes on the net for 18 hours for my ilo lct42ha36 which i dont have the original remote. cant a code to work and akai the manufacture says i wont find one. im am very frustrated at this point, i want to send it back. there is no tech support on the weekend and i dont have the patients to wait till monday. can anyone help please? i forgot that they said with the ir commander it would do rf controls.

I don't think Akai would lie to you! You will very likely need to 1st replace the "lost" remote. Try here <link (http://www.electronicadventure.us/ilo.htm).
Then program your new "other" remote... and store the ilo somewhere where it won't get lost.
