Post by: slimyosra on April 22, 2008, 07:27:11 AM
Hi all,
I wanted to know if there is a device that get the temperature of a room and send it to a CM15Pro module via RF?
my goal is to get a system to control each room separate.
Thank you for your help.

That is something I kicked around a couple of years ago.  I had considered modifying a X10 motion sensor to act as an environmental sensor.  I am not aware of anything like that on the market.

I also have not seen one that used RF and x10 signals.
Smarthome did make a unit called a TempLinc but it used X10 power line signals and a whole House Code. Basically sent a temperature as a house/unit code and a % of dim. Not easy to use and decode with AHP. I believe it emulated one of the automation  thermostat status codes.
