Title: Should the Remote Client store my userID like MyHouse does?
Post by: PajamaGuy on May 07, 2008, 08:38:33 AM
The MyHouse remote "remembers" my ID & login, Vanguard doesn't.  Bug?  Broken? Or user error?

Poor programing.
It annoys me also. I have to do a fake login to "clear it" from any computer where I don't want it left.

Dan Lawrence and Puck thanks for being such big supporters of me. You guy are       the ones I wake up in the Morning for. You guys are so great. I love haveing people looking out for me as much as you do.

I asked you in a PM to remove any reference to my name in your signature. You choose not to, you sent me a PM and then blocked me from PM'ing you in return. So now I have to reply here on the forum.

You recently corrected your deception to the public about being someone you are not; I was happy with that. As far as I was concerned, my issue with you was over. The above question was an serious question. You made a statement so please explain more.

Instead of answering the question you do the cowardly thing and give me an unhelpful and ignore my request to remove my name. You left me no choice but to file an official complaint to X10 about your abuse on the forum. I do agree that you are just an pathetic attention seeker, but I've reach my limit with coming to the forum daily and dealing with your abuse.

The ball is in X10's court now, we'll see what happens.

P.S. I gave you an unhelpful. Not for the post you made above, but for coming online and doing what you did instead of replying. You seem to think it's an user error, I'd still like to know why and how to fix it?

I'd like my name out of his sig, too, but seeing he blocked a PM reply from you, I will add my name to the complaint.

I think it must have something to do with the OS/Browser used - one of my home PC's Vista/IE7 does remember, but 2 of my work laptops do not?  No bid deal - I have the code memorized now....but I will try to decipher why one remembers and another doesn't...

Thanks!

This isn't an error, but an internet browser setting! ;)
PajamaGuy
The flavor of browser your using will determine where to find the setting for fixing this!
You want to look for allowing cookies (low level to high) this can be found usually in the privacy or security section of the browsers settings!
Compare the setting with the PCs that don't show to get the correct setting! ;)

Its a error in setting if you have your broswer blocking form data.

Did you ever get this resolved, I found in the "advanced" options a setting that said "erase on exit" I unselected that and it works on my clients computer.
