Title: multiview crashes - VA11A driver CA506AV.sys needed
Post by: alexkoch on May 27, 2008, 11:45:23 PM
My Multiview soft crashes to BSOD (blue screen..) after 2-3 minutes of running on Win 2000.
The error message is "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" Stop code 0xD1 Driver CA506AV.sys
Anyone has similar problems? Microsoft explains this as a driver problem (incompatibility with
the virtual memory). Where to download the new version of the VA11A driver (CA506AV)?
My driver is 2.0.0.55 (3/30/2001). Or any other ways to fix the problem (BIOS, USB settings etc)?
Thanks

Try downloading and installing X10 Drivers (http://www.x10.com/support/support_soft1.htm)
the file may have been corrupted!
version should be v2.0.0.25
modified date is correct! ;)

Already tried.. The same result. Downloaded file ver 2.0.0.25, product ver 2.0.0.55, date 03/30/2001.
That's exactly what I had. The system worked fine (4 wireless cams + 6 switches + wireless network behind the DSL modem)
until I reinstalled it on a more powerful PC. The problem is somewhere in IRQ settings/virtual memory. I know different
versions of CA506AV.sys (SunPlus, X10) exist in the nature, so it would be good to try them first.
