Hi,
I would like to control a CM11 (serial) with my NSLU running debian etch.
I see the following pakcets dealing with X10 on debian etch:
bottlerocket - Utility to control X10 Firecracker devices for home automation
wmx10 - Control X10 home automation modules via a firecracker CM-17A X10 serial dongle
x10 - Operate X-10 electrical power control modules
x10-automate - GUI interface for x10 power line control utility
What packages can I use to control a CM11 Module from the commandline? Bottlercoket looks fine from the description (also website), but it's designed for a "firecracker" module and not for a cm11?
Is there a "standard" command set implementet from the seriel side of view for all modules?
I know about the software heyU for the cm11 module, but there is no binary avaibalable and I would not like to compile it on my own on the box.
Thnaks for your advice

Search the Heyu users forum at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/heyu_users
I know there are several folks running Heyu on a NSLU and perhaps one of them can send you a binary for your distro.

Looking more closely at your list of Linux X10 software, it appears that the only one which operates a CM11A is Heyu. The others operate either a CM17A "Firecracker" or the older CP290 controller.
Is there any reason why you don't want to compile Heyu from source? If you have the gcc compiler and glibc already installed, compiling and installing Heyu is generally only a 5-10 minute job.

I just comiled it on my box and heyo works now. But I have a other problem with an lm12. But see exra thread ...
Thanks
