Hey guys, YB here... I just wanted to let you know that after quite some time, I have caught up in things around here and its time to start working on/with the community. We are working on scheduling some down time of the community server to upgrade/update the technology/forum. We are going to harden the security all around as well. I know it is much needed and has been waited for. I will keep you posted, and will keep a better eye on whats going on inside your threads. After all, this is your community too.
I will be taking suggestions of what to do or how to make things better soon. Start thinking now. No, this is not a joke or something that will be brushed off. It is time for me to start taking you guys serious.

Glad to see that X10 has become more involved here. Improvements to the forums maybe a boost.

It is always nice to see posts from X10 Staff!
Especially one which states their reading posts!
As for Ideas there are a few threads already started on this subject some with good Ideas not implemented yet!
It is time for me to start taking you guys serious.
Possibly quoting some of these old ideas and commenting on them may show the community that X10 and It's staff is listening and reading! ;)
It seems every time a X10 Staff member gets deeply involved in the forum their time at X10 is short lived! :( ::) :'

I have already been here for quite some time... I just never had the time for the community. I have done some stuff from time to time, but now we are working on it. We are working on creating a duplicate version of the server at the moment to test the changes I am going to implement. Making sure that its not going to crash or cause conflict. I assure you that I am not going away any time soon. I plan on being more active in the forums as well, seems how I am and have been a X10 power user for a long time as well. I will be reading the suggestions forums, but will be starting a new thread once a lot of changes are made.

Well even though it is your server/forum... let me say welcome. The forum consists of a really nice bunch of helpful and knowledgeable guys. It can be a fun place to hang.

i have noticed that. We are almost ready to start upgrading. There will be a moment where I will be working on the theme of the forums. Cleaning it up, making it look nicer, etc. So with that said, I need to get back to that. Lol

AlienDev it would be nice to know what we can expect with the upgrading!

There is a lot of back end updates, such as security, code versions, etc. I won't get into boring details of that for your benefits... lol
However, a few noticeable things you will start to see (especially admins)...
- increased security (possibly adding CAPTCHA as well, it is in the update)
- collapsibility of sections such as forums (to only show the ones you want to see)
- lots of bug fixes
- more search abilities
- I possibly might get a chance to get a new theme going =-D
- managing users will be easier and safer
- an indicator for new child board posts
There really is a lot of changes that will be made with the update. It would almost be impossible to list them all. The above are just some noticeable notable ones. It is a very very small fraction of what will be updated. Again, A LOT of it is updates on the codes and security.

Forum Software update, back end server update, etc..
