Title: Is X10 products brought in the US compatible with X10 Australia?
Post by: 911 on February 06, 2009, 12:11:24 PM
I recently purchased an X10 Winplus Security Kit from Australia.  It worked ok together with motion sensor that comes with it.  Recently i purchased from X10.com in the US some motion sensor, 7 in 1 promo.  I tried to connect my new motion sensor with my Winplus security console, it would not work.

Anyone can help me on this.?

Thanks

Where the Motion sensors the security type or the standard motion sensors? Only security types work with the security consoles. I believe the RF frequency used in the US and Canada maybe different than other areas of the world.

Not 100% on this. WGL makes an International version of their V572A called the V572AE. Uses 432.92 MHz and our US one are on 310.0 MHz.
The V572AE has an Australian vendor web link on the WGL site for the V572AE.
If there is an equivalent Acceptance Number on it for your countries regulatory agency. Maybe you can look it up in their database. Like we can find ours  in our FCC Database.
You may also fine clues on some of your local Automation dealers sites. Some may have specifications in their descriptions.
