Until the new "powers that be" at X10 give us CO's clear rules as to what is and isn't acceptable on these forums, it's pretty much a "free-for-all".
Sorry, I, for one, am tired of donating my time and B:( for no pay, little or no appreciation and now worrying about "getting in trouble" for making the decisions X10 supposedly entrusted to me.

I feel the same way. Having to justify my actions (moving a post) from a foulmouthed poster takes away ALL the desire I have within me to VOLUNTEER my time on this forum to do my best to keep it respectable. I always looked at posts and though "would I want my kids reading this?". This forum does not contain a MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO ENTER sign, so I see no need for porn of any-type nor sexual insults handed out daily because some have different views & values. For some reason this person is being allowed to continue their quest that involves insulting us all, so therefore I will no longer be a Community Organize here. If this is the intended direction the forum is headed, them my time around here has ended.

I know I'm new around here, but have been reading this forum for months. With out the help of all of you, I would have thrown out this stuff and missed the capabilities of home automation. I appreciate the hard work you guys do. Just wanted you all know, Thanks!

I wasn't complaining the spam. I don't even consider that to be spam worth worrying about. It's just a link in their signature.
I just think it's funny how spammers try to make it seem like their purpose for showing up to a forum is to ask a question.
I am doubting this place would ever be "chaos." ::)

Please don't let a few poster influence you. Most of us APPRECIATE all that you do.

You are correct, and with the acception of these last 2 posts I have changed the name from "degenerate" to "poster". Since I editted all your insulting posts it is only fair I did the same to mine.
To All: Please make sure that anymore replies to this thread are directed towards the OP's topic. Tomorrow I plan to remove all off-topic posts from this thread. What has been happening is an insult to the original poster.

Most spammers don't sit behind a computer, its a program that looks for security hacks in the program and exploit it.. sending a flood of text that can couse a website to run slow.
I guess you don't have a website, I have 5 and the amount of spam I get is sad, 100 too 200 pieces in my spam box a day, I use a filter that catches most of it, but before I did, by site would be over run, and of course it gets to the point that its almost like an attack and my service provider would shut down the site.

Zel768 is now a BANNED spammer!
A little research shows he/she/it is a spammer of many forums, using the same IP address frequently.
After multiple registrations and posts from another spammer over the last couple days, I couldn't stand it anymore! >*<
Clear marching orders or no. I (and most of the other CO's and EA's) still refuse to sit by and allow spammers to take over this board!

And until X10 changes this: General Forum Etiquette (http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=12842.0), all posts that express your negative opinions of others will be removed and you will be reviewed for banning.

"it" is almost too generous and polite a description for a spammer.
