Title: Vanguard Browser appears to drop connection
Post by: suesloan on May 25, 2009, 01:36:06 PM
I have someone connecting to my system from Florida. Sometimes (too often) it freezes the picture and he has to close the browser and start over loading it to see the cameras again. Is this a known "issue"???

I presume your Computer is protected by a good firewall.  If it is and is kept up to date, nobody from somewhere else should be able to get into yours.

The "someone" is my husband who is testing the FL to NY connection for us.

He tells me that the Vanguard Browser hangs up and needs to be closed and restarted very often, like every 3-4 minutes. We are both on cable modems so it is not a 'dial-up" problem.

Never heard of a Varguard Explorer.  What browser are you and your husband using? IE or Firefox?

I typooed... it is the Vanguard Browser I am talking about. And he is using Internet Explorer in Florida where it is dropping the connection. I am in NY and watching the cameras from here, and I am not doing anything here that would cause his connection to drop.
