Title: WS467 Dim Lights When Turned On, Won't Brighten
Post by: Farmer on June 02, 2009, 04:13:02 PM
OK, I just installed a WS467 in my barn to handle three simple 60watt incandescent lights.   When I turn them on either from Active Home, the remote or at the switch, they BARELY light.  Just a filament in the bulb glows.  I checked the settings and have the switch to 100% power, not dimmed.  I re-checked my electrical connections to the switch to make sure of good contact.  I'm new at this and checked FAQs before posting.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance,

Tom B:(

Sounds like you have the new Soft Start models.

But wait...
I can control from Active Home, but when I use my PalmPad Remote with Mini Tranceiver....NOTHING B:(  If I watch it on Active Home, the switch turns on but brightness is 0%.  If I press the up button on the remote, nothing happens.  If I move the slider up on Active Home, it works as it should.
I guess what I'm trying to say is the remote only turns the switch on and off but it does not bright from 0% to 100%.

Glad you found the problem. The Tranceived House Code settings thing, is a common problem we see here. Sometimes has to be forced.  ;D

To Farmer:

By the way, in posts, the X10 control program is Active Home Professional  usually referred to as Active Home Pro.  It uses the USB CM15A Interface and has plug in programs.

The older X10 control program was Active Home, which used the serial CM11A interface.  Active Home had no plug-ins.

You're right once again, my bad.  I've got ActiveHome Pro.  Sorry about that.
