I got my stuff in and started installing and I can see I am really stupid or just don't get it. I set a light to work just turn on in the living room so I hooked and set the time I wanted it to come on. then for kicks I just flipped the switch and nothing happened. I moved the Lamp mod to the room where the USB hub is and it worked... I thought if it is plug-in to the power why did not turn the light on in the living is it to far away, if so what is a good place to put it... Any Ideas... B:(

Your problem is the most common issue with X10 newbies!
Users here have devoted lots of time to creating special trouble shooting threads which are found in various sections as stickies(threads stuck to the top of the lists)!
