Title: Temperature Rating of AM466
Post by: abc1667xxxxx537 on May 22, 2010, 08:57:11 AM
Tried finding this for a while. Couldn't find it and decided to come here and ask.

What is the operational maximum ambient temperature rating of the AM466? Can it survive use in a 140° attic?

You may see a few hits where some X10pro modules have a higher temperature rating. At least the XPFM listed 140F as maximum.

Thanks. I kind of figured it might be difficult to find that information.

Got an answer finally from X10. The AM466 won't work up around 140°F. Although this doesn't tell us what temperature this thing is good to, it definitely isn't the same maximum as exists for the XPFM.

The maximum rating of the IC chip in the new CFL ones is 158F. So X10 wisely is giving a safety margin to the parts.
