Title: RF Performance with Pan and Tilt Base
Post by: JeffVolp on July 22, 2010, 01:47:52 PM

I'm thinking about picking up a pan and tilt camera to monitor our front yard.  90 degrees of rotation would be required to cover the area of interest.  I have seen some posts indicating that the RF reception can degrade as the camera angle is changed because the antenna rotates with the camera.  It would seem that a fixed antenna angled directly at the receiver is ideal.  I wonder if anyone has modified the antenna to do that, or am I worrying about something that isn't really much of a problem.

I think Dave_X10 put a 2.4 gHz omni on a camera to fix a fade problem.
