Title: AHP software fails
Post by: tr6flyer on October 03, 2010, 08:10:31 AM
On the AHP software when selecting the menu items Tools then Hardware Confiruration, the software fails and closes.  What is causing this?

What Operating System are you using? XP,Vista, Windows 7 and is it 32 or 64 bit version?

Which AHP interface do you have? The CM15A or the CM19A?

More facts you can give us. The better we may find you answer.

Have you tried running as Administrator?  Just something you could try.

I am the administrator and run in that mode.

This has been attributed to either a corrupt install, or the absence of the MyCities.xml file.  An advanced search will turn up the info you need.

The is no MyCities.xml file in the directory with AHP.  I also did a complete re-install this morning before I started this thread.

Sorry, I should ban myself from posting after working late on Saturday night and not drinking my coffee.  It's ICities.xml.

If you don't have it, I'll email it to you directly to make up for my lack of knowledge.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Knightrider.  MyCities, ICities, what's a few letters amongst X10 users...   ;D

I found the two files online. The Icities and the Holidays files.  I have installed and will test with this new found software.

I find this to be yet another example of poor quality contol on the part of X-10.  To allow users to download the AHP software without critical components.

ICities.xml sits in my ActiveHome Pro folder in AHP 3.271. Should be there in 3.285 as well.  AHP (any version) tends to put it there.
