Title: ActiveEye Question - Changing Batteries
Post by: coolspot on October 27, 2010, 12:41:00 PM
Hi all,

When changing the batteries on the ActiveEye, do I need to reprogram the unit from scratch, or will it retain its settings for a couple seconds during the battery swap?

Thanks!

I use the pre-glued Velcro to mount on the back of the "Eye" sensors. Then I stick, staple, nail or screw the other side of the Velcro to the area I'd like to mount the sensor to.

That way... even though I still have to reprogram the unit when battery's are replaced. I don't have to do it on a ladder, or using a flashlight if its dark. That makes the reprograming much easier. I also think ahead as far as house and unit addresses. Saving the first four units of of house addresses B, C or D can make programing easier also.
