Title: DW 534 Door & Window switch
Post by: peter on December 06, 2010, 02:04:50 PM
Does the DW 534 also send X10 codes. I do not have the security system console, but would like the DW 534 at start a marco or sound a chime.

They only talk "security code" so no, they do not send "standard" X10 code. The "OnAlert" plug-in for AHP and the CM15A will understand DS10 and likely the DW534 (old and no longer available from X10). Might be worth a call to X10 to confirm.

Thx for the reply, I just wanted a wireless door switch instead of using a motion detector to turn on a light and ring a chime. Door switches don't false :)

Can you solder?

There is a mod to hack door switches and water detectors in to the "Dusk/Dawn" circuit in the xxxxEye motion sensors. As I recall the mod wasn't much more than removing the Cd light detector and putting the switch in series with a 10K resistor in it's place.

Look for the HawkEye mod near bottom of page.
