Title: LM15A Programming With Active Home Pro
Post by: TheSensFan on March 11, 2011, 02:38:49 PM
Hi,

I just received my three pieces from X10, a AM466, LM15A and the Active Home PC interface.  I was able to get the AM466 working without issue, quite simplistic really and I was expecting to spend hours on it.  However, I can not get my LM15A programmed I followed a number of orticles here such as the following http://www.x10.com/kbase/articles/a00254.html (http://www.x10.com/kbase/articles/a00254.html)

But to no luck, is there any way to do some type of diagnostics on it?  At the moment it is always off.

Cheers!

Try the Chime Module in AHP method.
It may work better for you and does not need a macro.

If you are trying to program it where you normally want it. Try programing it in a table lamp on the same outlet as the CM15A and use a standard incandescent type bulb in it. Remember you have about 30 seconds to reprogram it.

You may want to try A1 the default. It should turn on with A1 even if it was not reprogrammed.

Perfect thanks.  I tried that method and it did not work at first.

But what it did do is got me thinking of unplugging the USP - PC Adapter.  Once I did and plugged it back into the AC outlet, I was able to program it.  All is well now.

Time to think Now its time to think of how I can flood my home with as many X10 modules. :)

You may want to look at some X10 tips and troubleshooting information.
Many UPS units and computers can cause X10 signal problems. As do modules on the homes other phase being hard to reach.
