Title: Remotely arming the console does not display ARMED on LCD screen
Post by: axgupta1 on April 30, 2011, 11:30:17 AM
I am testing the new SC 1200 security system. I found that when I arm the system using an outside phone, the small green light against ARMED goes on but the LCD screen does not say that the system is ARMED. In reality, the system is armed and initiates a phone call if a sensor is tripped. When I arm the system by pressing buttons the console, the LCD screen displays that the system is ARMED and green light is also on. Is this expected behavior?

Thanks...
Arun

Not sure if it is expected but I just armed mine with a cell phone and got the same results as you did.
I did get a voice message saying "Armed Away" on the cell phone.
LCD continued to display Home Control not Armed like with the keypad or keyfob.

Thanks for confirmation. Then I guess that this is how it works. I do not see anything in product documentation about this. My expectation was that LCD display will show ARMED no matter how the system is armed.

That would make too much sense, and would take an extra transistor.

Maybe just another manual error or omission.
Maybe the Green Armed LED alone; means armed by phone.  :'
