I recently installed a new SecuriLINK system. I had four zones set and all worked fine. Now, for no apparent reason, the chimes on the console have stopped. I have tried arming and disarming. I cleared all sensors (DS12a) and re-initialized them. I turned chiming off and back on. I replaced batteries (system is less than a month old).
So what gives? Is it defective? Can it ever be made to chime again?
Thanks.

Is there a volume on the chime?

Does the console ding when you arm it and ding two times on a disarm?
Even if the chime option is turned off. It should still ding and ding/ding on an arm and disarm. If it doesn't. The sounder circuit maybe defective.
In the Options Menu. There is a place to disable the chime. You may want to see if it got disables some how.
Page 26 of the users manual explains it.

No.

The unit dings when adding a new sensor so the sound works on it. And I did try turning the chimes on and off.
I guess I have to send it back for a replacement.
