Title: New user questions

Hello all. I am a new user of a couple of days. So far I am quite pleased, have downloaded the Kindle reader app and several items from the Kindle store, even received and read my webmail account.

My question: I see on the bearely readible instruction manual (including the downloaded and printed one) pics of what looks like several icons just to the right of the Home(little house) touch icon in the upper left of the screen. I do not have any of these on my AirPad. Am I correct and should I have something here?

next to my home icon, I have 7 down arrows pointing to a line!  What are they and how do I clear them?  Thanks

Take your Finger or your Pointer just to the right of the Home Icon and Slide the entire window down exposing the list. press clear or check each item listed and when you press the Home Icon they will all be gone and your home page will be displayed. :)
